Like all the best sitcoms, Katie and Greg met at work (cue laugh track). It all began on April 7, 2015. Katie had just started working at Dyn, a tech company in Manchester's mill yard. Greg had been working upstairs in technical support for a couple of years, but Katie worked downstairs (affectionally nicknamed "The Dungeon").
Katie started her journey to her new full-time position with technical support after coming onboard as an intern the month before. On this day, she went upstairs to train with her new coworkers. While she didn't train with Greg, he noticed her immediately and made sure to introduce himself.

Over the next two years, Katie and Greg became fast friends and chatted regularly. It's no secret that Katie talks a lot and Greg was easily the one she talked to the most! While they can't remember the specific day, Katie remembers the moment that Greg won her over. He told her a pirate joke, which must be heard, not read. You'll just have to ask him to tell it!

They bonded over their many shared interests, such as British comedy (Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a favorite). While they both love 80s and 90s culture, Greg leans more towards video games and movies, while Katie is fond of tv shows and music. Guess which one of us can solve a Rubik's Cube and which one still has their Care Bear?
By some miracle, in May of 2017, Greg finally asked Katie out for coffee! It turned out that they had crushes on each other the whole time! Greg couldn't believe how much cream Katie put in her coffee, but this was apparently not a deal-breaker. After coffee, they had a lovely afternoon walking around the shops in Tilton, NH.
Their first official date (and first kiss!) was at Funspot, New Hampshire's famous arcade in Weirs Beach. They already knew they loved games, but they had a great time playing them together. Greg enjoyed playing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat 'em up game with Katie, while her favorite was the Black Knight 2000 pinball machine. They used their tickets from Skeeball to get pirate rubber ducks that still live on their car dashboards.
In 2018, they purchased a house in Allenstown, NH and began to experience the joys and perils of homeownership. It's a good thing they can leave their house and find Target and Home Depot in any direction! They dubbed the home "Chateau Maverick" after their intrepid Beagle who defends the yard from squirrels and has never met a couch he wouldn't nap on.

Chateau Maverick quickly became a home with Maverick and the kitties, Ralph and Eve. Ralph is the orange tiger who sleeps next to his food bowl, so he never misses a meal. Eve is the brown tiger who chews holes in all available plastic bags and makes a beeping sound like a robot. Brandywine is the newest family member, a Black Lab mix from Puerto Rico, who is sassy, energetic, and loves treats. The best part is that all four of their furry friends love snuggling!
Shortly before Christmas 2021, Greg surprised Katie with a trip to Jackson, NH for a couple of days away before the holidays. They visited Nestlenook Farms, where all of the trees, arbors and footbridges were covered in lights that reflected off of the freshly fallen snow.
They relaxed by the fire, drank hot apple cider, and enjoyed a private sleigh ride. Their horse, Chip, carried them around the skating pond, through the trees and across the brook until they reached the top of the arched bridge high above the property. It was there that the sleigh came to a stop, and Greg spun out of his seat down onto one knee.
At first, Katie was confused, but as Greg reached into his pocket and removed a box, it became quite clear. The crying started immediately, but luckily, Greg handed her a pack of tissues he brought for the occasion (ever the Boy Scout). At this point, Greg was now confused, as the crying continued, but he was able to confirm that it was happy tears. Once she was able to breathe again, Greg finally asked the question.
Of course she said yes!!

Why would you have a Beagle install your new skylights?
